How to make your blush last longer

Applying blush is (for most people) an essential step in our makeup routine: on the cheeks, the tip of the nose or even a bit on the forehead, it depends on what you love!

We love to use blush because it brings colour, and looks healthy and radiant - In some way, we need to get that glow all over, right? Did you know it’s the first product on our face to disappear?

On these sunny days, it's the opportunity to wear even more blush. Indeed, one of the purposes of blush is to mimic sunburn effects. However, how do we make it last longer?

Two good news:

  1. You don't have to buy new products because you probably have them all at home.

  2. You don't have to be a professional makeup artist.

The majority of people don't like to use blush because they are afraid to put too much and it might look unflattering. You are wrong! I read somewhere that when you think you have applied too much blush, you should know that you have the right amount on your face. Indeed, when you take a picture of yourself, you will see that your blush is not even visible.

Easy tips for a long-lasting blush:

Cream or liquid blush gives you that natural and glowing effect thanks to its smooth texture that blends easily into the skin.

All you need is a cream or liquid blush and a powder one. You have to apply both the cream and powder texture. Obviously not at the same time. The more blush you apply, the more it will show and the longer it will last. Please don't hesitate to be heavy-handed!

The first step is to apply creams and liquid products (with a sponge or a brush, depending on your preference). Then set it with a powder blush. The best way to apply it is to dab the product onto the skin and not to brush it because it will move everything.

Please keep in mind that not all blushes are the same. Indeed, the best blush of the year for one person might not work for another. You should choose a blush that will suit your complexion and skin tone. It will help it to be more visible!
