That Girl is you
September seems to be the Monday of the other months: back to school, to work, to reality which is sometimes necessary. The most important thing is to start the new month as you feel it and not as people expect you to do.
Being that girl is like waking up at 5 am, going to the gym, meditating, drinking your ginger shot or green juice... We see it everywhere on social media. Doing all of that is also a form of self-love because you're taking care of your body. However, you have to be realistic and not just act like everyone else. What's the point of waking up earlier if your body won't keep up with the day because you're tired? Why mix sour foods (lemon, ginger) if you know your stomach can't handle it? It’s the same with green juice, if you don't like the taste, don’t drink it. Relax. It's okay, you can take something else.
All this “That girl” movement can be overwhelming if you do it because of the pressure. We need to adapt this routine to what our mind and body want. I'm not saying that drinking lemon juice or ginger shoot is a bad thing. In fact, it's a very good idea, especially ginger who has many benefits for your health and skin. Let me tell you that next year or maybe in a few months, it will probably be a different trend.
Self-love is a progressive process. It requires you to unpack a lot of habits, resilience and consistency. That girl is you because you have to do things in your way and in your time: if you wake up at 10 am and usually run in the evening - that's also great.
We have to align ourselves with our own personality because being "That girl" doesn't mean you have to be or look like someone else. This is basically about living a lifestyle that suits you better. We should stop feeling the pressure to do something because others are doing it too.
Your time is yours - don’t let anybody rush your life or social media pressure you because people only post good moments and not the bad ones. Live as you want and at your timing. You have to know that loving yourself is a strength and it may upset some people who do not want you to embrace yourself.

Be versatile. You don't have to be a particular type of person because everybody looks the same. It’s okay to be a girly girl, to paint, to do boxing, to drink champagne, to not drink alcohol, to dance, to play golf, to ride a motorbike… You can be all of that if it’s what you like and want. We have to stop letting people and social media dictate our lives or telling us what we are supposed to do.
We should not be committed to one experience and we can always reinvent ourselves and change our boundaries. Stop sticking to one idea, one look and one thought of yourself. Especially if this idea is based on what people think of you.
“That girl” should be a source of motivation and inspiration for living a healthy lifestyle. All the aspects of this movement are just healthy habits to incorporate into your life and to be more organized. You just have to make realistic standards for yourself and find the right balance between all of this.
Everybody is different and that's why we should be the best version of ourselves. Be the kind of girl you always wanted to be: nurture, love and build yourself, why not do it when you can? What could feel better than accomplishing your goals?
Above all, protect your heart, as life and everything else flows from it (Proverbs 4:23). Trust the process and everything will fall into place.
